Slice n Bake Sugar Cookies
The easiest sugar cookies you can make this holiday season!

For the Dough:
2 c unsalted butter, softened
1 c granulated sugar
1/2 c light brown sugar
3 t vanilla extract
1/2 t salt
4 1/2 c all-purpose flour
To Roll::
1/4 c colored sugar
1/4 c granulated sugar
Directions:
In an electric mixer combine butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar. Beat until creamy.
Add salt and vanilla extract and mix until combined, about 1 minute.
Slowly mix in flour, working in batches until fully combined.
Split the dough in half and roll each half into a 2” log. Cover completely with plastic wrap and place in the fridge to chill for two hours (up to overnight).
Preheat oven to 350F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Whisk the colored sugar and granulated sugar together and roll each log into the sugars. Press down to ensure the sugar sticks to the dough.
Cut the logs into 1/4” slices and arrange on a cookie sheet. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until edges turn slightly brown.
